After trying wool sheep for more than a decade we decided to try hair sheep. The Katahdin are often referred to as "milkable", which we have yet to try. After purchasing our first pair of Katahdin meat lambs we decided we really liked the ease of care. These sheep are more friendly than the Suffolk crosses we had in the past, and we don't have to shear them! In the future we may add milk ewes to our herd Lacaune or East Friesian. We currently have three registered ewes. Lambs arriving soon!
